The second release of this single varietal wine, it has enticing floral and black pepper aromas and smooth, spicy, dark fruit flavours on the palate.
The grapes were handpicked, destemmed, gently hand bucketed to vat and fermented in stainless steel with periodic hand plunging. The wine was pressed then aged in French oak barriques for 20 months.
Syrah is only made in years when sufficient quantity and quaility justifies a varietal release rather than blending into The Benches.
