San Hill Chardonnay 2007, 750ml

A classic style of dry chardonnay showing honeyed citrus notes on the nose with silky honeyed lemon and gentle oaky tones on the palate, with a long finish.

Crafted in our boutique winery from our hand picked grapes, crushed, soaked on skins overnight, pressd, then cold settled, 75% was barrel fermented with partial malolactic fermentation with 75% aged 9 months in new and used French oak barriques.

The estate grown grapes come from from sun baked terraced slopes of a north facing basin with free draining limestone soils over a clay sublayer. With an elevation up to 250m and a latitude of 40^º, they reflect our unique local terrior.
